PROGRAM TOPIC: How to Create Holiday Happiness and Prevent Holiday Hopelessness.. Sande Roberts will share her tips for not only surviving but thriving during the upcoming Holidays which often include stressful family gatherings and conflict between separated or divorced parents over holiday celebrations and parenting time with their children. Sande will cover strategies for encouraging positive participation amidst challenging family situations and often intransigent parents caught up in unproductive communication patterns surrounding their children.
PRESENTER: Sande Roberts is a behavioral consultant, executive/life coach, workshop facilitator, and adjunct psychology professor at Phoenix College. She has a master’s degree in clinical psychology with extensive experience in crisis intervention and suicide prevention. She is certified by the California Department of Mental Health as a master trainer in suicide prevention. Her 30 years of experience working in the crisis and behavioral health fields includes implementing prevention programs in middle and high schools. She is a highly sought after consultant working with fire, police, aviation and other government agencies across Arizona and California. Her workshops include Communication Styles, Conflict Resolution, Suicide Prevention, Language of Money and Let’s Talk about Sex. Sande is often called by print, radio and television media to share her expertise and provide insight into current events. Sande is a long-time member of MCAFM. She is the author of a book, We Need to Talk About Suicide, published by Inkwell Productions. The book available as an ebook and/or hard copy through Amazon, and is carried in several book stores.
