Biography
Michelle Buonincontri is collaboratively trained and hired by individuals and couples going through divorce, their attorneys, and other divorce professionals working on their behalf. As a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA™), she analyzes both the short and long-term financial implications of various divorce settlement options, including tax consequences, to help clients understand the big picture and details of settlement decisions. Michelle can assist in the discovery process with the data gathering and preparation of the Financial Affidavit, as well as with lifestyle analysis, budgets, and forecasting. This information helps clients to make difficult financial decisions, during their divorce, with confidence and peace of mind.
For Attorneys, she provides clear in-depth exhibits and data that help demonstrate the current and future state of client settlement decisions. Additionally, individual services such as pension valuation, executive compensation analysis, lifestyle analysis, etc. are offered. Michelle believes that each family is different and her individualized solutions and guidance focuses on achieving their financial success while minimizing risk within the parameters that clients are comfortable with.
Michelle is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER professional (CFP®), and as such handles all clients with the utmost ethical and fiduciary standard of care. She also performs full service financial coaching services through Being in Abundance. Additional training as a mediator and life coach help to provide the neutral backdrop to help facilitate a process in which clients make informed and intelligent decisions that support their family and future.
As part of her commitment to families, Michelle holds Divorce workshops for individuals, mediators and financial advisors and previously served as a Leader for a nationally acclaimed program from "Second Saturday" & WIFE.org. She is also a member of the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts, the Association of Divorce Financial Planners, is a contributing writer for Investopedia & TheStreet, served on the Board of Directors for the Financial Planning Association of Greater Phoenix and Long Island chapters, and is a frequent presenter for the Fresh Start Women’s Foundation.
