The Presenter is Donald T. Saposnek, Ph.D., 

Family Mediation Service and Professor,
Department of Psychology, University of California, Santa Cruz

Donald Saposnek is a practicing clinical child psychologist and child custody mediator, a family therapist for over 46 years and a national and international trainer of mediation and child development.  He is the author of the classic book, Mediating Child Custody Disputes: A Strategic Approach and co-author of Splitting America: How Politicians, Super PACS and the News Media Mirror High Conflict Divorce.   He has been on the teaching faculty for the psychology department at the University of California, Santa Cruz, since 1977 and he has been an Adjunct Professor at the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution of Pepperdine University School of Law since 2009. The workshop will cover the Developmental Needs of Young Children; Overnights for Infants & Toddlers; Updates on Critical Attachment/Attunement Research, Brain Research and the Explosive Controversy Over It; Effective Strategies for Dealing with A Gatekeeper Parent and Crafting & Drafting Clear & Effective Parenting Plans.
